Set up my Microsoft 365 email account

Congrats! You’re now the owner of a Microsoft 365 from Wurk account. We're glad you're here, and we're excited for you to get started.

With Microsoft 365, your email and files are synced across your devices — and when you use an email address that matches your domain name, it gives your online presence a professional touch.

Now, let’s dive in. We’ll set up your account so you can start sending and receiving emails.

Note: If your email was created for you by Wurk Airo,  you've already completed step 1 of the series. If you'd like, you can change the username, and then skip to step 2 of the series.

1: Create email address

Create your professional email address(es).

Step 1: of the Set up my Microsoft 365  account series.

In just a few steps, we'll get your email up and running. First, let's create your email address in the Email & Office Dashboard.

  1. Sign in to your Email & Office Dashboard (use your Wurk username and password).
  2. If you have an existing Microsoft 365 email address from Wurk, select Set up accounts. If this is your first Wurk email address, continue to the next step.

  3. Select the domain you want to use for your email, and then select Continue.

4.    Enter a Username for your email address (the domain is added automatically, so do not include it).

Example: Use your name like jane@coolexample.com or jpointsman@coolexample.com. Avoid using numbers or special characters, since they're harder for people to remember.

5.    IMG_258

  1. Enter your First name and Last name.

  2. If you have multiple email account types, you can select the Account type from the list. Otherwise, it will be automatically selected for you.

Note: If you have Microsoft 365 setup in your account and are creating new email on a different domain for the first time, you may be asked to link the new domain to the existing organization. Linking domains allows users to share contacts and files as if the domains are part of one business. Learn more about linking your domains

  1. To assign admin permissions to the user, select Yes. You can change this at any time, but you must have a least 1 admin per domain.
  2. Under Create a password, enter a password. Make sure it's different than your Wurk account.
    1. If you already have an email account, it will generate a temporary password and send it to the email address that you enter during step 9. Otherwise, select Create my own password.

  3. Under Send account info to, enter the email address where we’ll send the account details.

  4. Select Create.

Congrats, you created your first email address!

When your Microsoft 365 email address is ready, we’ll send a confirmation to the email address you provided in step 9. If you don't receive it right away, don't worry. It could take a few minutes.

After you receive your confirmation email, go to the next step where we’ll sign in to your email. Just a few more steps to go.

2: Sign in to your email

Sign in to your Microsoft 365 account for the first time.

Step 2: of the Set up my Microsoft 365 Account series.

Sign in to access your Microsoft 365 account. Bookmark the sign-in page for easy access from your web browser.

Note: If you try to sign in to your account through Microsoft directly (for example, through Outlook on the web), you'll be prompted to enter your email address before being redirected to the steps below.

  1. Go to the Microsoft 365 sign-in page.

  2. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address and password (your Wurk username and password won't work here).
    1. If your web browser auto-fills your username and password, make sure it's using your Microsoft 365 email address and password, not your Wurk account credentials.
  3. (Optional) To stay signed in to your account when you close and reopen your browser, next to Keep me signed in on this device, select the checkbox.
  4. Select Sign In.

The Office home page will open. On the leftmost side, select a Microsoft app to open it (for example, to access your inbox, select Outlook).
